James Watt invented the steam engine, James Watt invented the steam engine in 1698. James Watt was alive in 1736, James Watt died in 25th of August 1819. James Watt successfully invented the steam engine. In 1871 he wanted to invent more but he didn't have enough money.
Kia ora Saad. This blog post is contradictory. What date did he invent the steam engine? If he lived from 1736-1819, then he couldn't have invented the steam engine in 1698 or 1871!
